‘Rebels in Tech’ campaign seeks to strengthen female presence in IT

Fenix DFA, a SaaS platform specializing in data resilience and compliance, has partnered with Little Rebels, a global education and female empowerment initiative, to launch the “Rebels in Tech” campaign. The initiative aims to expand the female presence in preserving corporate legacies and highlight the role of backup management as a central element for business continuity and regulatory compliance.

The campaign was presented in late May at an exclusive event for approximately 30 CIOs, CISOs, and IT Managers, marking the start of a series of actions aimed at increasing female representation in strategic positions within the sector and reinforcing the importance of data protection as a pillar of corporate sustainability.

“When I first learned about Marjorie’s work, I realized we were talking about the same theme from complementary perspectives: legacy. At Fenix DFA, we understand that protecting critical data is essential to ensuring business continuity, and this requires visibility and action. Most backup problems are silent. If no one is notified, nothing will be fixed. That’s why this campaign goes beyond representation: it combines the transformative vision of female leaders with Fenix DFA’s analytical capability to face one of the greatest challenges of modern IT: the imminent risk of data loss, especially in the event of a cyberattack,” says Alexandre Paoleschi, founder of Fenix DFA and CEO of KYMO Investments.

During the event, Paoleschi announced that Fenix DFA will allocate 1% of its revenue over the next 12 months in Brazil to support Rebels in Tech campaign projects focused on training, mentorship, and the production of educational content for women in the IT field.

Founded in 2019 by Marjorie Spitalnik, Little Rebels empowers through play, telling the stories of disruptive female figures who have made and are making history, such as Marie Curie and Malala Yousafzai, among others, through educational content and collectible dolls. During the campaign launch, a doll of computing pioneer Ada Lovelace, recognized as the first programmer in history, was introduced.

“Rebels in Tech was born with the purpose of honoring the past and shaping the future for women in IT. That’s why the partnership with Fenix DFA makes perfect sense. Little Rebels preserves the history of these women, while Fenix DFA ensures that this legacy remains intact, without loss of data or information. Together, we are on this mission to protect legacy, ensure continuity, and keep the memory alive,” says Marjorie.
